The Research Foundation of The City University of New York (RFCUNY) provides post award grant and contract administration to the 23 colleges of The City University of New York (CUNY). In 2002, the September 11th Fund turned to CUNY to provide fiscal administrative support for their Employment Assistance Program’s $70 million in funds affecting 10,000 people.

GrantsPlus was established by RFCUNY in 2005 to allow the Foundation to extend its administrative capabilities to the nonprofit sector at-large. Today, they administer over $300 million annually from hundreds of funding sources.

In 2006, GrantsPlus and First Nonprofit Companies formed an exclusive strategic partnership to bring the power and efficiency of the RFCUNY’s technology and Application Service Provider to other nonprofits throughout the country.
